F&D
was a Quinn family owned company,
where Joe Quinn (Pres. of QCS)
learned the purchasing agent and
export-import business hands-on,
working alongside Marie F. Quinn,
as special assistant to the President,
who happened to be our aunt, a true "business pioneer"
and exemplary member of the business community.
For decades
F&D was located in the heart of Manhattan, at
250 Park Avenue, New York New York 10017
We shared the 6th floor with Sullivan & Cromwell Law Firm.

Our company represented the owners of a major industrial concern,
based in South America, that operated farmlands, factories and produced numerous well-known household product brands,
including foods, malted drink (TODDY), pharmaceutical products, detergents (TRIPLE PODER), tropical fruit and
nectar drinks, canneries, restaurants, and other diversified interests.
F&D
was the exclusive US representative for
Industrias Yukery, SA - and serviced its various purchasing
and export/import requirements.

As the principal overseas Purchasing Agent for a small group of clients,
F&D provided a broad array of specialized services of interest to the owners
of these privately held South American-based group of companies.
Export-Import,
formed the majority of our activities.
From the mid-1900's through today.
The business world
has gone though enormous changes
since the 40's, 50's, 60's...
At first we used Telex and Cable, replaced by fax then email,
the internet grew to change business everywhere.
Since the 1940's, huge companies have come and gone,
countries and companies have been taken over, elections lost and won,
so many prominent people in business and society have come and gone.
Still, there remain certain constants.
There remains a need for
