We have received notification from the Nigerian Port
Authority of a requirement for a Cargo tracking note by Nigerian
authorities. We understand this is
effective from a bill of lading date of 11th January,
2010. For a copy of the notification please contact
customer service. We apologize for the late notice , however this has
only recently been received. We are continuing our investigations in Nigeria to
gain further information on the requirements. We expect a meeting to be held between the shipping
community and the Nigerian Ports Authority next week to clarify the
requirements.
In the meantime we encourage all shippers to
Nigerian ports to contact the CTN issuing agency and proceed with the
required application. Form M requirements are not changed. We
will update when further info is received.
We understand that the below
is the sole agent of Antanser Afrique which has been nominated by the NPA as
the only authorized agent to issue CTN.
